When driving on the interstate or highways at such a high rate of speed, defensive driving is a must. Staying the proper distance from the vehicle in front of you, leaving room when passing vehicles and following the speed limit are all ways to help you safely reach your destination.

The National Safety Council offers interstate driving tips. They also provide defensive driving courses. In Florida, you can even be certified in defensive driving. Getting certified will not only keep you safer but it may save you money on your insurance or shave points off your license.
