Two people were killed and six injured in two separate crashes in Collier County over the weekend. A Naples woman was killed Sunday and a man was killed in a Friday night crash that also injured six people.

On Sunday afternoon, Sandra M. Maddux, 54, of Naples, was driving south on Lakewood in the left-turn lane when Kiereek L. Seymour Jr., 24, who was driving a 2004 Jaguar, drove in front of her, striking the left front corner of her Grand Cherokee, causing both vehicles to spin, news-press.com reported. Maddux was taken to Health Park Hospital, where she died. Seymour sustained minor injuries.

Just as the weekend was getting started on Friday night, another crash led to the death of one man and injured six others.
