This time of year can be dangerous for motorcyclists and other motorists. The population of Fort Myers and Southwest Florida is starting to grow as snowbirds flee the cold temperatures up north. As the temperatures drop and snow starts to fall, the Southwest Florida roadways swell with traffic.

You’ll likely find more motorcycles on the road as well. Some may be snowbirds but others may just be taking advantage of the wonderful warm, sunny weather. This is the perfect time of year to enjoy a motorcycle ride. There’s very little rain and the temperatures are often warm and comfortable for a ride.

The next few weeks the roads will likely be busy because of holiday traffic as well. With more cars and motorcycles on the road, packed parking lots and drivers thinking about the holidays, it can be a dangerous situation.
