Around 5 PM on Monday, a truck drove through Diamonds Billiards Sports Bar and Grill on Pine Island Road, injuring two people and killing another.
The driver of the truck, 75-year-old William Gulliver, had over 5 times the legal alcohol limit. Gulliver got into his vehicle, which was parked in front of the pool hall, hit the gas pedal and speed through the wall.
Cape Coral natives Ronald Gravel, 60, and Tracy Marie Booker, 52, were transported to the hospital following the crash. Gravel later died due to his injuries, and Booker remains in serious condition. The third victim, 58-year-old Linda Girard, sustained minor injuries.
Gulliver was also transported to the hospital, but suffered no injuries. Records show his blood alcohol level content measured 0.402 at Lee Memorial Hospital. Read more.
